* Limited to 125 anglers.
Each contestant is given lures to fish with for the tournament. You can
only use these lures. POSSESSION of any other lures will result in the
contestant being disqualified. Super glue and simple speed clips or
tactical clips will be allowed to be used one at a time as intended. No
additional weight or weights or the use of any type of scent or dyes
will be allowed. No floats other than the provided top water lure and
no scavenging old corks or using items found as a float.
There will be an option during registration to enter the BIG FISH
category, entry into the BIG FISH will be $5.00 and winner will take

LEOPARD RED will be $5.00 and winner with the most spots (spots must
not touch or they will be only counted as one) will take all.
* All redfish must be UNDER 27" and 16" or greater at the time of the weigh-in.
* All speckled trout must be 12” or greater at the time of weigh-in.
* All flounder must be 11” or greater at the time of weigh-in.
* Heaviest stringer of up to 3 redfish, 15 speckled trout, and 10 flounder wins.
PFD’s MUST be worn at all times.
Safety flag, bright colored clothing, and 360º light are highly recommended. BE SEEN!!!
/ PEDAL-CRAFT ONLY: No trolling motors / sails / gas engines or “mother
ships.” Your pedal or paddle craft must be human powered. Contestants
are allowed to wade fish or fish off of the bank but ONLY as long as
the area you’re fishing is within 100’ of your LAUNCHED paddle craft.
Launched means your kayak is in the water.
WATER COURTESY: Do your best not to disturb someone else’s fishing
area, by encroachment, or noise. If you come upon an angler in an
egress area, as quietly as you can, ask which side he or she would like
you to cross at. A good rule of thumb is that if you can both cast to a
common point you’re too close. Respect others. Use the golden rule.
PROTEST: All protests must be made in writing and delivered to a
Tournament official within 30 minutes of the official end of the
weigh-in. The tournament director is the final authority in all
considerations. All anglers are encouraged to report cheating –
cheating in a fishing tournament is a crime in the state of
CHEATING/FOUL PLAY: All anglers are encouraged to report rule
violations. Contest Fraud in a fishing tournament is a crime in the
state of Louisiana. There will be zero tolerance. ANY entrant and/or
prize category winner may be required to undergo polygraph examination
either by random draw or by order of the board of directors. Any
refusal to submit to polygraph testing will result in immediate
disqualification from tournament and banishment from participating in
all future BCKFC tournaments.
No cell or electronic communication "to and from" non Minimalist
Challenge anglers during tournament hours will be allowed except if it
is non fishing related. Example: The wife, work, ect.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE: A waiver, release of
liability, and covenant not to sue are part of the entry form. It is
required that all contestants take responsibility for themselves while
participating in event activities. Please DO NOT let your competitive
nature push you into doing dangerous things.
RULE CHANGES: Rules interpretation is exclusively left to the
Tournament Directors and BCKFC Officers. The decisions of this group
are final in all matters and are not subject to appeal.
PARTICIPATION AND ELIGIBILITY: Participation is open to anyone 18 years
of age or older. Minors are eligible to participate with a parent or
legal guardian signature on the release form. All participants
represent that they are physically and mentally competent and fit and
able to participate. By entering, all participants agree to assume all
risks of personal injury, death, and damage to or loss of property and
further agree to indemnify and hold BCFKC, its officers, members,
agents, and sponsors harmless from and against any and all claims,
liabilities, and causes of action resulting directly or indirectly from
tournament has a $26.50 Adult entry fee. That is
split - $15 going to the purse of the individual tournament, $5 for the
one hard lure, and $5 going to BCKFC Angler of the Year awarded at the
end of the series.

Any persons not properly checked / in line at 3:00 p.m. will not have their catch weighed. Don’t be late!!!
